Horizontal queen excluder, entirely made of metal. Horizontal placement is used in multi-story beehives.

Thanks to the special opening size, the excluder prevents the queen bee from passing through, while worker bees pass freely. This clearly separates the brood chamber from the honey storage area.

Queen excluders significantly simplify hive inspections and, during honey extraction, reduce the risk of accidentally taking a frame with brood. They are also widely used in queen rearing.
